TV9 - SRI RAM SENA ATTACK CHRISTIAN IN MYSORE

IS YOUR HUT BURNING?

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited
island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned
the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.

Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to
protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions. But then
one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut
    in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened;
everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. "God, how could
you do this to me!" he cried.

Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was
approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was
here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they
    replied.

It is easy to get discouraged when things are going bad. But we shouldn't
lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain
and suffering. Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground

---- it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God.

The Holy Spirit in Your Life

"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" - Luke 11:13 NKJV

There are times when we don't know what to do. When we're at a crossroads. When we're worried or afraid. When we feel overwhelmed. When we're attacked and feel vulnerable. At times like these, we need to remember that the Holy Spirit is with us every moment.

Jesus told His disciples that the Holy Spirit "will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you" (John 14:26). Think what this means: The Holy Spirit, who is in you, is ready to teach you "all things." ALL things! The Holy Spirit is available to help us know "the things of God." Paul wrote that "we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God" (1 Corinthians 2:11-12).

We are not imposing when we seek more of God's Spirit. Jesus said the Father delights to give us His Spirit when we ask. He is ready to be our Comforter, Teacher, and Constant Companion.

Yet how often we fail to take advantage of the presence of God's Spirit within us. Think of all the power He brings! All the wisdom! All the discernment! All the peace, love, and joy!
Today, are there things you need to know? Are there problems you face that require God's solutions?
Remember: You aren't alone. The Spirit is with you. Learn to be sensitive to His leading. Call on Him. Pray in the Spirit. Don't deny yourself the benefit of His presence. He longs to teach you all things, comfort you, strengthen you, equip you, and guide you! Take time to listen to Him right now.

IMAGINE HEARING THIS

          Imagine praying and hearing this:

"Thank you for calling My Father's House. Please select one of the following
          four options:

          * Press 1 for requests.

          * Press 2 for thanksgiving.

          * Press 3 for complaints.

          * For all other inquiries, Press 4."

What if God used the familiar excuse:

"All of the angels are helping other customers right now. Please stay on the
line. Your call will be answered in the order it was received."

Can you imagine getting these kinds of responses as you call on God in
          prayer?

          * "If you'd like to speak with Gabriel, press 1.

          * For Michael, press 2.

          * For any other angel, press 3."

          * "If you want King David to sing you a psalm, press 6."

"For reservations at My Father's House, simply press the letters J-O-H-N on
the keypad, followed by the number 3-1-6."

"For answers to nagging questions about dinosaurs, the age of the earth and
where Noah's ark is, wait until you get here!"

"Our computers show that you have called once today already. Please hang up
          immediately."

"This office is closed for the weekend. Please call again Monday."

          End of message.

Thank God, you can't call Him too often!!! You only need to ring once and
God hears you. Because of Jesus, you never get a busy signal. God takes each
call and knows each caller personally. When you call and the Lord will
answer; you will cry for help and He will say: "Here am I."

PAID IN FULL

Your day in court will come one day, so make sure that you have good representation. After living a "decent" life my time on earth came to an end. The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of what I thought to be a court house. The doors opened and I was instructed to come in and have a seat by the defense table. As I looked around I saw the "prosecutor," he was a villainous looking gent who snarled as he stared at me, he definitely was the most evil person I have ever seen. I sat down and looked to my left and there sat my lawyer, a kind and gentle looking man whose appearance seemed very familiar to me. The corner door flew open and there appeared the judge in full flowing robes. He commanded an awesome presence as he moved across the room and I couldn't take my eyes off of him. As he took his seat behind the bench he said "Let us begin." The prosecutor rose and said "My name is Satan and I am here to show you why this man belongs in hell." He proceeded to tell of lies that I told, things that I stole and in the past when I cheated others. Satan told of other horrible perversions that were once in my life and the more he spoke the further down in my seat I sank. I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at anyone, even my own lawyer, as the Devil told of sins that even I had completely forgotten about. As upset as I was at Satan for telling all these things about me, I was equally upset at my representative who sat there silently not offering any form of defense at all. I know I had been guilty of those things, but I had done some good in my life -- couldn't that at least equal out part of the harm I've done? Satan finished with a fury and said "This man belongs in hell, he is guilty of all that I have charged and there is not a person who can prove otherwise. Justice will finally be served this day." When it was his turn, my lawyer first asked if he might approach the bench. The judge allowed this over the strong objection of Satan, and beckoned him to come forward. As he got up and started walking I was able to see him now in his full splendor and majesty. Now I realized why he seemed so familiar, this was Jesus representing me, my Lord and my Savior. He stopped at the bench and softly said to the judge "Hi Dad" and then he turned to address the court. "Satan was correct in saying that this man had sinned, I won't deny any of these allegations. And yes the wages of sin is death and this man deserves to be punished." Jesus took a deep breath and turned to his Father with stretched arms and proclaimed "However, I died on the cross so that this person might have eternal life and he has accepted me as his Savior, so he is mine." My Lord continued with "His name is written in the book of life and no one can snatch him from me. Satan still does not understand yet, this man is not to be given justice but rather mercy." As Jesus sat down, He quietly paused, looked at his Father and replied "There is nothing else that needs to be done, I've done it all." The Judge lifted his mighty hand and slammed the gavel down and the following words bellowed from his lips -- "This man is free -- the penalty for him has already been paid in full. Case dismissed." As my Lord lead me away I could hear Satan ranting and raving "I won't give up, I'll win the next one." I asked Jesus as he gave me my instructions where to go next. "Have you ever lost a case?" Christ lovingly smiled and said "Everyone that has come to me and asked me to represent them has received the same verdict as you .
    "PAID IN FULL."

Fervent, Intense Prayer

"...She wept and did not eat...She was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD...She made a vow and said, 'O LORD of hosts...if You will...give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life.'"

There are many types of prayers. Some are long; others are short. Some are casual; others are more formal. What Hannah demonstrated was prayer that is deeply serious and intense.
Her situation was desperate: Unable to bear children, she felt like a failure as a wife and a woman. When her husband's other wife, who had children, mocked her, Hannah reacted with strong emotion, weeping so intensely that she couldn't eat. But the real turning point came when she prayed.
Her prayer was without any inhibition. She didn't care how she appeared or what others thought. She poured out her soul, praying with such intensity that "Eli thought she was drunk" (v. 13). She was determined to seek God and get an answer. Demonstrating the seriousness of her prayer, she vowed that if she had a son, he would be dedicated to God.
Hannah received an answer to her prayer. God gave her a son, Samuel, who would become one of the great prophets.
The Bible makes it clear: God honors those who seek Him with urgency-those who knock and keep knocking, who ask and keep asking (Matthew 7:7), who are like the widow who beseeched an "unrighteous judge" until he answered her petitions. As Jesus said, "Will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night" (Luke 18:6-7).
Think about the issues in your life. Do you have serious problems or needs? Do you have questions? No matter what you face, don't give up! Get serious with God! Pray with passion. Knock on Heaven's door with a sense of urgency...today!

ONE THING TO NEVER FORGET

Your presence, is a present to the world. You're unique and one of a kind. Your life can be, what you want it to be. Take the days, just one at a time.
Count your blessings, not your troubles. You'll make it through, whatever comes along. Within you, are so many answers. Understand, have courage, be strong.
Don't put limits on yourself. So many dreams, are waiting to be realized. Decisions are too important, to leave to chance. Reach for your peak, your goal and your prize.
Nothing wastes more energy, than worrying. The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets. Don't take things too seriously. Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.
Remember, that a little love goes a long way. Remember, that a lot of love goes forever. Remember, that friendship is a wise investment. Life's treasures, are people... together.
Realize, that it's never too late. Do ordinary things, in a extraordinary way. Have health, hope and happiness. Take the time, to wish upon a star.
And don't ever forget.... For even a day.... How very special you are.

    Do not’s for Mobile Users

    1. Do not give your mobile phone numbers while chatting over the internet to avoid stalking. And do not lend it either.
    2. Do not use or buy a used SIM card. Make sure your SIM card is bought and registered under your name with your permanent address,
    3. Do not lend your mobile phone, and try to password protect the phone if the facility is available in the handset.
    4. Do not use the mobile for obscene/pornographic images, videos or SMS and MMS.
    5. Do not assume that any crime done with your mobile is undetectable.
    6. Take care when using your phone in public places – do not flash it around
    7. Avoid leaving your phone unattended - treat it like you would treat your wallet or purse
    8. Make a note of the mobile's serial number - you can find it by typing *#06# on your phone. The serial number can help to track the mobile if it's ever stolen / lost.
    9. Call the service provider immediately, in case your mobile phone is stolen. They will block use of the stolen SIM card in their network.
    10. Report it to the police as soon as the crime occurs.

    Cell Phone Etiquettes

There are certain things people just shouldn't do with cell phones.

    1. Do not talk on your cell phone while driving.
    2. Do not talk on your cell phone in classrooms. (You’re disturbing others too!)
    3. Turn your cell phone to silent/vibrate mode in Places of Worship, Funerals, Job Interviews, Banks and places where you are requested to do so.
    4. Turn off your cell phone in flights.
    5. Turn off the cell phones, where there is any kind of such direction from the authorities.

    8. Turn your cell phone off when you are at the movies or at least don't check the messages – people around you will be disturbed by the screen light up.
    9. Never take a personal mobile call during a business meeting. This includes interviews and meetings with co-workers or subordinates.
    10. Maintain at least a 10-foot zone from anyone while talking.
    11. Never talk in elevators, libraries, museums, restaurants, cemeteries, theaters, dentist or doctor waiting rooms, places of worship, auditoriums or other enclosed public spaces, such as hospital emergency rooms or buses.
    12. And don't have any emotional conversations in public, ever.
    13. Don't use loud and annoying ring tones that destroy concentration and eardrums.
    14. Never "multi-task" by making calls while shopping, banking, waiting in line or conducting other personal business.
    15. Help the Law Enforcement Agencies to serve you better.

    A Day to Remember

"These stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever."

When the children of Israel crossed into the Promised Land, Joshua met with representatives from each tribe. Each of them was told to "take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel" (v. 5). Then they were to take these stones and form a memorial.

Why was this important? Joshua said that the purpose was simple: It was to be a powerful reminder of their past.

Joshua knew that future generations would not know the story of their journey from Egypt to the Promised Land. They would not understand the risks that had been taken or the trials they had faced. They would not know the mistakes they forefathers made or the miraculous ways God directed and blessed them.

For these future generations, it would be easy to take God's blessings for granted. But this memorial would serve as "a sign among you" and stimulate questions. People would ask, "What do these stones mean?" (v. 6) The memorial would provide an opportunity to tell the story in detail, again and again.

This is why we have memorials in our lives. They remind us to pause to ask questions and think about our past. What sacrifices have others made so that we might have life and liberty? What do we owe to those in past generations? Are we taking these blessings for granted? Have we shown proper appreciation and gratitude? Are there things we don't know about our heritage? Our faith? The history of our spiritual freedoms?

Today, pause and ask God to help you think about your past, your heritage, the sacrifices others have made, and all that previous generations have done for you. As God gives you the opportunity, show your thanks and appreciation. Take time to be grateful to God for all He has done.

    Positive Thoughts.

    Steps To Happiness

All of us want to be happy. However, we do not know how to achieve the same. To be happy is very simple. There are many simple routes to happiness. Read the following quotation and re-read each caption and paragraph and assimilate and meditate on the same throughout the day:

    Everybody Knows:
You can't be all things to all people.
You can't do all things at once.
You can't do all things equally well.
You can't do all things better than everyone else.
Your humanity is showing just like everyone else's.

    So:
You have to find out who you are, and be that.
You have to decide what comes first, and do that.
You have to discover your strengths, and use them.
You have to learn not to compete with others,
Because no one else is in the contest of *being you*.

    Then:
You will have learned to accept your own uniqueness.
You will have learned to set priorities and make decisions. You will have learned to live with your limitations.
You will have learned to give yourself the respect that is due. And you'll be a most vital mortal.
    Dare To Believe:
That you are a wonderful, unique person.
That you are a once-in-all-history event.
That it's more than a right, it's your
duty, to be who you are. That life is not a problem to solve, but a gift to cherish.
And you'll be able to stay one up on what used to get you down.

8 important manners you should teach your little ones

8 important manners you should teach your little ones

We all want to raise our little ones to be polite and well behaved,
and learning those lessons starts at home.
It's never too early to teach your little ones basic manners!
Here are eight of the most important manners you should try to teach your little ones
before they go to school. They won't remember them all, or get them right every time,
but patience and perseverance should get you through:

    1. Always say please and thank you.

Whether they're activities as small as giving your little one a snack,
or them asking if they can play in the garden, always reinforce the
importance of saying please and thank you.
No matter how young your children are, you can't start
    enforcing this rule too early!

    2. Table manners

When your tiny tots are just learning to eat at the table,
start teaching them the manners you'd like them to have for the
    rest of their lives!
Rules like not eating with their mouths open, or not putting their
elbows on the table, are good life lessons for your children to learn
    as soon as possible.

    3. Play dates

When you're little ones go on play dates, or to birthday parties, remind them to
thank their friends parents for having them over. If you aren't going to be
attending the play date or event with your little one, ensure your little ones know
they should treat their friends parents (and all grown-ups)
with the same respect they treat you.

    4. Birthday party etiquette

It's often said that kids go wild at birthday parties - all the sweet snacks and fun
can make little ones get excited, and sometimes forget their manners.
But no matter how excited your little one is on their birthday, there are some manners
they shouldn't forget: to open their presents thoughtfully
(not ripping off the paper,or tossing the present to one side as soon as they've seen it)
and to say thank you for every gift, and to every attendee.

    5. Mind the language

There will come a moment every parent dreads: the moment your little one swears.
And then finds it funny! The worst thing you can do in this scenario is laugh.
Let them know that you already know that word, you think it's unpleasant, not funny,
and ask your little one not to use it again!

    6. Don't be meanKids tease each other, and they find it funny. But this can sometimes go a step too far and lead to bullying.
Make sure your little ones don't call others mean names, and don't make fun
of anyone for any reason. Ganging up on someone else is cruel, not clever.
    7. Excuse me!Once your little ones have mastered saying please and thank you,
teach them to say excuse me. It's the polite thing to say when you have to
interrupt someone, or bump into somebody.
