JUST A BOX OF CRAYONS

JUST A BOX OF CRAYONS

Ø While walking in a toy store
Ø The day before today,
Ø I over heard a Crayon Box
Ø With many things to say.

Ø "I don't like red!" said Yellow.
Ø And Green said, "Nor do I!"
Ø And no one here likes Orange,
Ø But no one knows quite why.

Ø "We are a box of crayons
Ø that really doesn't get along,"
Ø Said Blue to all the others.
Ø "Something here is wrong!"

Ø Well, I bought that box of crayons
Ø And took it home with me
Ø And laid out all the crayons
Ø So the crayons could all see

Ø They watched me as I colored
Ø With Red and Blue and Green
Ø And Black and White and Orange
Ø And every color in between

Ø They watched as Green became the grass
Ø And Blue became the sky.
Ø The Yellow sun was shining bright
Ø On White clouds drifting by.

Ø Colors changing as they touched,
Ø Becoming something new.
Ø They watched me as I colored.
Ø They watched till I was through.

Ø And when I'd finally finished,
Ø I began to walk away.
Ø And as I did the Crayon box
Ø Had something more to say........

Ø "I do like Red! " said the Yellow
Ø And Green said, "So do I !"
Ø And Blue you are terrific!
Ø "So high up in the sky."

Ø "We are a Box of Crayons
Ø Each of us unique,
Ø But when we get together
Ø The picture is complete"

Ø With encouragement and love;
Ø It will help us in our journey
Ø 'Till we reach our home above
NO CHRISTIAN IS MEANT TO BE AN ISLAND.
